Other ways to make an impact:

  • Join the Ohio Immigrant Alliance e-mail list to receive action alerts and updates.

  • Talk about immigration, and make it clear you think it's GOOD. Push back on disinformation. Use these talking points.

  • Start building a network. Even two people coming together makes a difference. Talk to other parents at your kids' school. Talk to your friends and neighbors. Talk to your gaming group. Think about ways your workplace, organization, or community can help. Use the tools in the Vibrant Ohio Advocacy Guide.

  • Write a Letter to the Editor. Share your perspective in your community paper; let immigrants know we are glad they are here. Use the ACLU’s how-to guide.

  • Get a whistle and learn how to use it. 

  • Get trained. Attend an ICE Watch and Community Defense Training from States at the Core.

  • Start a Rapid Response Network in your community with this guide.

  • Send words of encouragement to Ohio immigrants. If you have loved ones, coworkers, family, or acquaintances being impacted right now, reach out. If you don’t know anyone personally you can write a note here and we will share it for you.  CLICK HERE TO SEND A LOVE NOTE

  • Become a Legal Observer with the National Lawyers Guild.

  • Volunteer as an interpreter with US Together, Vocalize, and Ohio Hispanic Coalition.

  • Get rid of your Ring camera. Ring partners with Flock, which gives information to law enforcement without a warrant, including ICE.
